Sustainability
is key

Sustainability has been high on BTT's agenda since the end of the last century. We were one of the first in the Netherlands to transport large quantities of containers by water and later also by rail, from the seaport to the hinterland. In this way we have achieved a gigantic reduction in the number of trucks on the road in recent decades. Resulting in considerably less CO₂ emissions.

In recent years, we have further shaped this sustainability transition by:

• Full focus on further expansion of multimodal transport solutions, also internationally
• Consolidating container flows, such as in the West Brabant Corridor
• Use of sustainable internal equipment
• Use of the most modern trucks with clean engines for pre and post transport

BTT aims to be a frontrunner in sustainable multimodal transport by 2025. In this way we make an important contribution to a better environment and a cleaner living environment for future generations.
